Orisa Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is the entrance test that is held for admissions
into professional degree courses in several fields. This entrance
test is organized by the state of Orissa for getting admission into
the first year of Engineering/Technology, MBBS/BDS, Hotel Management
and Catering Technology (HMCT),
Architecture, Pharmacy, MCA and
MBA courses. The outstation candidates,
who are appearing for this state level entrance test, are not
eligible for enrolling into government colleges of the state.
However, they can apply for admission to private institutions.
Orissa Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) is
conducted every year and is undertaken by a large number of
students. JEE 2013 exam will be held at
selected centers in Orissa.

Eligibility Criteria:
Eligibility required for admission to First year
Bachelor courses:
a) Engineering/Technology
The candidate should be appearing in final examination or passed
10+2 examination with a minimum score of 50% aggregate of Council
of Higher Secondary Education, Orissa or equivalent exam.
The students must have subject like Physics, Mathematics, as
compulsory subjects in 10+2 and one form Chemistry/Computer
Science/Biology/Biotechnology in their previous class.
b) Architecture
Those students who want to take admission in Architecture course
must have secured 50% marks in their 10+2 board exam (CHSE, Orissa) or equivalent with mathematics as one
of the main subjects. Candidates who have secure at least 50% marks
in their 10+3 year diploma course are also eligible to apply in
this course.
c) Pharmacy
Students passed or appearing in 10+2 examination with a minimum
60% aggregate of CHSE, Orissa or
equivalent can apply for admission. The students who want to apply
for pharmacy should have Physics, Chemistry or one from the
subjects like Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science and
Biotechnology in their previous class. Students who have cleared
the 10+3 diploma course in Pharmacy are also eligible for to
apply.
d) Hotel Management and Catering Technology
Students who have passed or appearing in 10+2 CHSE, Orissa or equivalent qualification from a
recognized board are also eligible for admission. Students coming
from any stream can also apply for the program.
e) MBBS/BDS
Students who have passed or appearing in 10+2 exam with at least
50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together are
eligible for admission. The candidates seeking admission should be
between 17 to 25 years of age.
Eligibility required for admission to First year Master
programs:
a) Computer Application (MCA)
Students who have passed the 3 years Bachelor's Degree
examination from any recognized university or institute are
eligible to take admission. Candidates should have passed their
12th class with Mathematics as mandatory subjects.
b) Business Administration (MBA)
Students who have cleared a minimum of 3 years of Bachelor's
Degree from a recognized university can apply for admission. The
programs have option for lateral entry of students in the 3rd
semester. Entrance can be taken in courses like
Engineering/Technology, HMCT and
Pharmacy. For apply applying into these programs candidates must
have passed a diploma degree with at least 60% aggregate for
applying.
There is a separate entrance test for all the courses. The
Orissa JEE 2013 entrance test will be
objective type and contains the questions from Physics, Chemistry
and Mathematics. There is provision for negative marking for
incorrect answers. The MBA exam also
consists of objective type questions as the sections are
